[Benjamin Cluff, president of Brigham Young Academy]
Went to see Presidency yesterday [i.e., February 14, 1899]. Had a long talk with Presidents [Lorenzo] Snow and [George Q.] Cannon. An appropriation has been made to the school [i.e., Brigham Young Academy], but hardly sufficient to run the one semester out much less the whole year through. What we are going to do is a mystery. It seems that the church can do no more. Something may transpire however to relieve us.
