Thomas S. Monson is sustained to the Quorum of the Twelve at age thirty-six, the youngest man ordained an apostle since Joseph Fielding Smith at age thrity-three in 1910. Monson is the first World War II veteran to serve as an apostle and also the first general authority with a Master of Business Administration. Other general authorities with an MBA or other graduate degree in business are Henry D. Taylor (appointed 1958), Robert D. Hales (1975), Gene R. Cook (1975), John H. Groberg (1976), Ronald E.
