... in conference with heirs of Pres[iden]ts estate in Gardo house ... about settlement of [Brigham Young] Estate with the Church. Geo[rge]. Q. was making good headway presenting plan of operations'-most of procedure a good feeling prevailed till Albert Carrington chipped in & awakened sneers, sarcasm, &.c. Erastus invited them the heirs to appoint a committee of 3 or 5 & call on the Auditing Committee who would aid them in examining the books & items of a/c [account] important all departed feeling better except for the unwise talk of A[lbert]. C[arrington].
