At General Conference welfare Meeting, Relief Society turned over responsibility for wheat reserves managed to be administered by the General Church welfare Committee. The 226,291 bushels were valued at $1,651,157 ($5,614,320 in 2011 dollars). wheat fund assets valued at over three-quarters of a million dollars ($2,550,175 in 2011 dollars) were also turned over.
