[Apostle Heber J. Grant] The great majority of the people who spoke yesterday and today were decidedly in favor of continuing to labor in the United Order but most of them did not wish to do so unless the present system was changed and more responsibility was placed upon the individual members. ... At our evening meeting we had some spirited remarks. We had an excellent spirit present. I can't recall attending a meeting where I felt that more of the kind and peacful [sic] influences of the good spirit was present than I did this evening. It was decided by a unanimous vote to continue working in the United Order under the system of Stewardship, as found in the Doctrine and Covenants.
