[Apostle Heber J. Grant] At 11 A.M. called at the State Bank where I had a long and interesting conversation with Apostle Brigham Young [Jr.]. We both agreed that Col Isaac Trumbo was a man that could not be trusted and we had little or no faith in Bishop Clawson, and it was a great surprise to us that they had so much influence with the Presidency of the Church. We were both agree that there was nothing that we would not do that was in our power to assist the Presidency of the Church and we agreed that it was our duty to uphold the hands of the Presidency and we both had the most perfect faith in the honesty of our brethren, even if we did not understand why they had so much confidence in men that we lacked confidence in. I was pleased to have a good long talk with Bro[ther] Young.
