140 years ago today - Jun 2, 1874 (Tuesday)

One hundred Goshute Indians were baptized by the Indian interpreter Wm. Lee in Deep Creek, Tooele Co., Utah. Hundreds of Indians were subsequently baptized at other places, and there was a general religious movement among the Lamanites.

[Note: This was perhaps the largest group baptism of American Indians]
