[President Heber J. Grant Diary] I did not sleep very well last night. I had not been able to make up my mind what subject to talk upon in opening the General Conference this morning. Before getting out of bed, however, I decided to refer to the growth of the Church and the faith of the people generally, and to pay no attention whatever to the vicious, lying, slanders that are being passed around and placed under people's doors, advocating a continuation of adultery which they call Celestial marriage. Some of these circulars contain vicious lies about immorality in the Utah Hotel and the Temple Square Hotel, etc., etc.
