[Mark Hofmann] Hofmann calls Ashworth to tell him about another "find." He drives to Ashworth's home in Payson and shows him a 13 January 1873 letter of Martin Harris to Walter Conrad. Ashworth wants it; the tentative selling price is established at $27,000. Ashworth offers to trade documents signed by George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Robert E. Lee.
