The 74th semi-annual conference convened in Salt Lake City. It was continued until the 6th, on which day George Albert Smith was sustained as one of the Twelve Apostles to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Brigham Young, jun. Francis M. Lyman was sustained as president of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles.
