120 years ago today - Friday, Nov 1, 1901

[John Henry Smith]
It was decided by Joseph F. Smith and John R. Winder, Barlow Ferguson, H. G. Whitney and myself that an effort must be made [to] steady our Sugar Stock and keep it from droping. The Trustee in Trust put $15,000.00 and J. R. Winder $500.00, Jos. F. Smith $500.00 into a fund to steady the stock.

President Joseph F. Smith, John R. Winder and Anthon H. Lund and myself met President Duffin of the Western States Mission and instructed him to have a Ten thousand Edition of the Book of Mormon printed at Kansas City, Mo. for $2,100.00, $1,100.00 to be paid out of the tithings Collected in the mission, $1,000.00 to be furnished by our friends. President Duffin to secure Electrotype plates.
