Dr. J.B. Carrington, a non-Mormon, arrested for bigamy, was discharged by Commissioner Gilchrist, at Salt Lake City, notwithstanding the proof of his guilt. [This was during a time when Mormons were experiencing a heavy confiction rate for "unlawful cohabitation".]
