A good deal of bitter opposition was being met from the Reorganites who made it a practice to attend their outdoor meetings and at the close of which they would harangue the people with a tirade of abuse and falsehood, their favorite method being to poison the public mind by giving distorted extracts from sermons preached by Presidents [Brigham] Young and [Heber C.] Kimball on the Adam-God theory, blood atonement and polygamy.
