At the council meeting of First Presidency and Twelve held July 20, 1916, $1,000 was appropriated to assist in meeting the expense attending the efforts then being put forth in favor of statewide prohibition, as an offset to the efforts that were at that time being made by the opponents of prohibition, known as the Greater Business Men's League. Please pay this amount to president Heber J. Grant, who represents the Anti-Saloon League of America.
