Spencer W. Kimball tells general conference "When the Indians resisted our encroachments, we called them 'murderous redskins' and continued our relentless aggression." He reminds his listeners that "we [continue to] become fat in the prosperity from the assets we took from them," and concludes that Mormons have a religious obligation toward Native American Indians: "to guarantee that they have the education, culture, security, and all other advantages and luxuries that we enjoy."
