BYU's DAILY UNIVERSE announces that the Office of University Standards has instituted what it termed a "silent referral system," establishing unidentified checkpoints at certain cashier windows and ticket offices where employees were asked to watch for dress and grooming violations and "silently refer" violators to Standards officials. As part of the silent referral system, students are encouraged to report known violations of the Code of Honor, without being required to divulge their identity
