120 years ago today - Jan 9, 1897

Moses Thatcher called at the Clerk's department of the President's Office today, and asked for an order to cover the amount he claimed as due to him as balance for services as one of the Twelve Apostles under the late practice of giving compensation to leading church officials. He drew the sum of $550.00 to apply it on his last year's tithing account.
