This was a pleasant morning, and many persons were early at the Temple to receive their washings and anointings. ... After the labors of the day were over, which was soon after nine o clock P.M. the violin and flute, played by brothers Hanson and Averett, in the east room, enlivened the spirits of the saints that were present, and they soon joined in the dance. ... Harris to join in it also, but his great gravity and superior wisdom forbade him to do so, and he thought that as he had not yet danced in his life, he would not begin at the present time.
