[William Clayton Journal] President Joseph told the Temple committee that he had a right to take away any property he chose from the Temple and they had no right to stand in the way. It was the people who had to dictate to him and not the committee. All the property he had belongs to the Temple and what he did was for the benefit of the Temple and the committee had no authority only as they receive it from him.
