[Apostle Franklin D. Richards Diary] At city in Gardo house at 10 am Pres[iden]t WW unable to come out GQC & JFS present Of 12 there were LS, FDR, FML, JHS, HJG, WGT?, MWM, AHL, AHC 9 of the 12 were present Pres[iden]t Snow stated the nature object & success of our meetings which was held about Quarterly the last 2 years. regretted Br[other] JH Smith having as he thought to take the stump on politics & hoped that no other of us might find it necessary to do so. Pres[iden]t JF Smith reviewed the situation & told to objects desired & modus operandi of attainment very clearly--Pres[iden]t GQ Cannon also spoke lengthily and much conversation ensued on politics & who were some of our friends outside Bro[ther] Grant received direction on money affairs.
